Jo-Anne has a passion for social and environmental justice, which are intertwined particuarly in the case of women with fashion and textiles. After 25 years in the unsustainable fashion industry she decided to become part of changing the way the industry works, and formed a RubyMoon in 2011 to offer benefit not degradation to people and planet. Since then Jo has become heavily involved in circular economy practice and has developed technologies to recycle textiles to re-ignite textile excellence whilst conserving resources.

Creating RubyMoon, and then RubyLab as stand out, pioneering businesses for change
Knowing that the fashion industry could bring joy to women without the environmental and social degradation. Fashion and the way we dress is an important part of our culture, and we should take pleasure in what we wear, without causing others pain in the process.
Elevating women into living wage and fair conditions, in order to build decent lives for their families. Creating circular products that reduce carbon, waste, green house gases and energy. Building a better future based on equality and environmental and social justice.
If you are not part of the solution, you are part of the problem
Only do what you enjoy, what you are good at!
Regenerative agriculture and manufacturing
Raised finance earlier, believe in myself!
Choosing a woman’s way to live and work, without succumbing to the status quo
Choose my own path, be prepared to stand out
That I tried my best and made the world a slightly better place
